Confident walkers (usually 18 months) to 2.5 year old children play in here. The staff ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 age dependant.

An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development (CCLD) is responsible for the care and management of this room.

We offer toddlers the opportunity to play and explore their room independently with their height storage facilities and manageable boxes to reach the toys of their choice. There is a play den, ball pit, and we encourage cuddles and stories.

We offer a range of sensory material play from sand and water to shredded paper or gloop. Creativity and mark making are encouraged with pens, pencils, crayons, chalks, paint and water brushing.

An independent changing space for hygiene requirements and potty training is available in the room. A change of clothes, nappies and if preferred, toddlers own cup should be brought to this room daily.
